Jim Webb is a decorated Vietnam veteran who served as Assistant Secretary of Defense and Secretary of Navy under President Reagan. Jim is a principled man who was fearless in criticizing the Iraq invasion from the beginning. We need Jim’s expertise and fighting spirit to set a new course so that we can bring our troops home.

Unlike George Allen, Jim Webb understands that Virginia is one of the most diverse states in the country and values the contributions of hardworking immigrant families. Jim will stand up to politicians in Washington who use prejudice as a political strategy, and continue to oppose those who allow prejudice to infect foreign policy. He knows the importance of protecting our civil liberties and he will fight to preserve the American Dream. Jim believes that the real Virginia should be based on fairness, opportunity and respect.

• AFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE FOR ALL
Jim Webb will fight to make quality and affordable health care available to all Virginians. He will fight for making importing drugs from Canada legal so that we can save as much as 60% on prescription drugs.

• EDUCATION IS A RIGHT
Jim Webb believes that a good education is a right, not a privilege. He supports making college tuition tax deductible, lowering class sizes, and providing teachers with more resources.
