OUR MISSION

Even as politicians seek to divide us — based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, legal status, or simply fear — the American public is reaching a new consensus: The values that unite us as a people run deeper than those that set us apart.

Real Virginians for Webb is a grassroots movement that rejects discrimination as a political platform, embracing instead a commitment to fairness, opportunity, and respect.

After six years of divisiveness, dishonesty, and corruption, our citizens long to be the UNITED States again. The 2006 Virginia Senate race has produced a leader in Jim Webb who can help us achieve this goal.

When our politicians use insensitive language and suffer public meltdowns when discussing race or ethnicity, we as Virginians are demoralized and embarrassed for our state and for our nation. We endorse Jim Webb for the U.S. Senate because we need to set a new course, not only to restore our prestige and credibility abroad, but also to restore our dignity and our sense of community at home.
